Advent at Greenmonte - Third Sunday - Joy

This Sunday, December 12th is the third Sunday of Advent. Advent is the season when we prepare our hearts for the coming of the Christ child at Christmas, while also anticipating the time when Jesus will come again.

For this week, we invite you to reflect on the theme of Joy. For background on the concept of Joy in Scripture, the Bible Project has a helpful Advent reflection on Joy.

For the four Sundays of Advent, we will be reflecting on the themes of Hope (November 28th), Peace (December 5th), Joy (December 12th), and Love (December 19th).

Greenmonte Christmas Caroling Tonight at 6:30pm!

Join us for Christmas Caroling at Stuarts Draft Retirement Community tonight (Wednesday) at 6:30 pm. We'll meet at the gazebo/flagpole parking lot on Rolling Hills Drive. We will have three caroling stops outside around the property, will sing 4 to 5 songs at each stop, and will move about every 15 minutes. We'll have lyric sheets for everyone. Since we won’t be going into any buildings, the residents will be told about our visit so that they can come out on their individual balconies and patios. After caroling, we'll have some hot chocolate and delicious cookies from Miller's Bake Shoppe outside at the gazebo area before we say good night. We hope that you will all join us as we share some much needed Christmas cheer with our elderly friends!

Christmas Eve at Greenmonte Join us for a special Christmas Eve service at Greenmonte on Friday, December 24th at 4pm. We'll celebrate the birth of our Savior with readings, carols, and a Christmas message. Bring your family, friends, and neighbors! Christmas Banquet Fun We had a great time at our annual Christmas Banquet on Saturday. A big thank you to all the volunteers who helped make it happen!
