Dear Sardis: The Slumbering Church

It's possible to be a church with many great works, but no substance of the life of Christ in our midst. We can become dead even as we think we're alive. Jesus calls out to the church in Sardis - and to us - that our spiritual vitality comes not by doing something new that's never been done before, but by re-doing something that is old: returning and remembering. Jesus calls us to welcome His Spirit, and to have a passion for prayer, an ear for truth, and a heart of repentance.
