Randy was born and raised in Portland, Oregon and worked for many years as an engineer. In 1999, he was sent on business to Japan, where he met a missionary teacher named Liza. The two were married and spent 10 years in Oregon, where their two sons were born. A move to Waynesboro, Liza's home town, led to Randy starting his own solar installation business. Always passionate about God's Word, Randy now gives away Bibles to each of his solar customers. He also joined the Gideons and is on the board for Risen Ridge, a newly formed horse therapy ministry. He and Liza still love travel, even if it's just to a new location in Virginia.
