A Heart of a Leader
Jul 20, 2025 • David Brenneman
In 1 Thessalonians 2:1-12, Paul shows us the difference between harmful leadership and helpful leadership. His example reveals the heart of a leader should be a heart of service, not seeking praise, but seeking to please God and care for people like a gentle parent. Paul did not lead for personal gain, but with integrity, love, and sacrifice, becoming a pillar for everyone as he shared the gospel.
A heart of a leader is seen in Paul’s life as he worked hard, encouraged, comforted, and urged the Thessalonians to live worthy of God. This passage challenges us to lead in a way that gives, protects, and builds others up for the sake of Christ.
