Part Three: The Flesh

The flesh is that primal drive within all of us for self-gratification. It is the center of human pride and self-will. True freedom is not found in the ability to indulge in every desire of the flesh. Rather, true freedom is found in taking up our cross to follow Jesus. Victory over our flesh is not found in our own willpower, but rather through Christ as the Spirit of God works within us to defeat the disordered desires that would seek to rule us.
