Nehemiah: Rebuilding the Walls

Jun 28, 2020    David Brenneman    Ezra 7 Nehemiah 1-2, 4, 6-8, Malachi 1-4

How are you? Are you thriving, or merely surviving? We might have different answers to that question based on what's going on around us. When Nehemiah, living in exile, asked how his people were doing, he heard that the walls of the city of Jerusalem had been torn down and that the people were in trouble and shame. But God said: Arise and build. And God gave them power to rebuild the walls. God is a covenant-making and a covenant-keeping God who is our fortress and strong tower, defending us from the enemy. No matter what comes against us, we can live in strength and in confidence that we will never be separated from Him.
