Exodus Part 9: From Rescue To Relationship

Before giving Israel the Ten Commandments, God first reminded them of their identity and the relationship He desired with them. In Exodus 19, God told Israel that He had rescued them from Egypt and carried them to Himself. He called them to be His treasured possession, a kingdom of priests, and a holy nation. The commandments were not given to earn God's love, but as a response to the covenant relationship He had already established with them.
