Jesus The Wonderful Counselor

Jesus shows us that He is our Wonderful Counselor in John 13 and 14. As He speaks to His disciples, He guides and comforts them, calling them to live as true followers by loving one another as He has loved them. He reminds them to trust Him, not be troubled, and declares that He is the way, the truth, and the life.

In this moment, Jesus models stages we recognize in counseling today—building rapport, understanding their fears, giving clear direction, speaking truth and comfort, responding to their questions, and preparing them for what’s ahead.
