The Life Changing Power of the Gospel (Gal 2:11-20)

In Galatians 2:11-20, Paul recounts a confrontation with Peter (Cephas) over his behavior regarding the Gentiles. When certain men came from Jerusalem, Peter withdrew from eating with the Gentiles, fearing the criticism of the circumcision group. Paul publicly rebuked Peter for this, pointing out that their actions were inconsistent with the gospel of grace. Paul emphasizes that no one is justified by the works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ. The law serves to show us our sin, but it cannot save us; it can only reveal what is wrong. Justification comes only through our relationship with God, by trusting in Christ's sacrifice.
