Finding Your Identity In Christ
Nov 9, 2025 • Seth Hankee
Paul opens his letter to the Ephesians by introducing himself as an apostle of Christ Jesus—chosen not by his own will, but by God’s calling. He addresses the Ephesians as saints—holy ones who are set apart in Christ. From the very beginning, Paul reminds us that our identity is not something we earn or achieve, but a gift we receive through grace. We are called “faithful in Christ Jesus,” meaning our lives are rooted in Him, not in our works or worthiness. To live the Christian life is to remain in Christ—resting in His grace, living from His strength, and walking in the peace that flows from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
