A Father's Blessing

Jun 15, 2025    Seth Hankee

In Genesis 48:9–16, Jacob blesses Joseph’s sons, Ephraim and Manasseh. Despite his age and failing eyesight, he intentionally crosses his hands, giving the greater blessing to the younger, Ephraim. Jacob calls on the God who guided and redeemed him to bless his grandsons and multiply them.

This moment reminds us that God calls fathers to rise up and bless the next generation. Like Jacob, we are to step into our God-given role—not just as providers, but as spiritual leaders who speak identity, purpose, and blessing over our children. Your words carry generational power—use them to shape legacy.
