Our Family Story: Rooted In Christ

God is doing meaningful work at Greenmont, and as we move forward, it’s important to remember who we are and what we’re called to be. This is not about nostalgia, but about clarity of identity and purpose. When Jesus is our foundation, He forms us into a reconciled community that becomes a witness to the world.

Greenmont’s story is part of a larger faith story rooted in the Anabaptist movement, which sought to take Jesus seriously in both belief and daily life. From that history come three core convictions that still shape us today: Jesus is our only foundation, community is the center of our life together, and reconciliation is the center of our work.

Faith begins with a personal decision to follow Jesus, but it is lived out in community. As people who have been reconciled to God through Christ, we are called to live differently—loving one another, forgiving freely, and being peacemakers in a divided world.
